Pat Buck left WWE after WrestleMania 38, fulfilling a dream of his to work on the grandest stage of them all. Buck pitched in with a backstage role, producing Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns alongside Michael Hayes. This was a tough decision, but Buck did the best thing for his family.

Bryan Alvarez expanded on Pat Buck’s decision during Wrestling Observer Live. He said that WWE producers don’t get the time off that talent do. They must make all of the television events, especially someone like Pat Buck. In the end, it just became too much and he decided to leave.

“The story I was told was I mean, I don’t want to say that the job sucks, but these producers work all of them, they work RAW and SmackDown. The vast majority of the wrestlers they work RAW or they go home or they work SmackDown and they go home. All of the agents, they have to fly in and they have to work RAW and they have to be home for like a second and they have to work SmackDown. So, anyway the story I got was that it was just too much. He was never home, always there, he just had enough and he quit.”

We’ll have to see where Pat Buck ends up next. He could be a vital part for another organization, but right now he might just take some well-deserved time at home to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
