Jonathan Gresham became the heart of soul of ROH over the past couple of years. He eventually became the ROH World Champion right before the company went on hiatus. Tony Khan also confirmed Gresham’s status after ROH Supercard Of Honor.

At the ROH Supercard Of Honor pay-per-view, Jonathan Gresham and Bandido squared off against each other in a title unification match. In the end, Gresham beat Bandido and became the undisputed ROH World Champion.

While speaking the post-show media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about Jonathan Gresham appearing on AEW television. Khan confirmed that Gresham will defend his ROH World Title on AEW Dynamite and Rampage.

“I definitely would love to Jonathan defend the title in AEW and on AEW programming, and I think that’s definitely something possible and Jonathan has traveled the world. He can tell you better than anybody about his vast experiences wrestling and all the championships he’s held in all the promotions around the world.

I’m excited for him to defend the championship in AEW, on Dynamite, on Rampage, on lots of our great programming, and also I think there are a lot of great relationships we have with other companies and relationships Jonathan has with other companies, and I think there’s a lot of possibilities both in AEW and through the forbidden door.”

We will have to wait and see when Jonathan Gresham will be defending his ROH World Title. The possibilities are simply endless at this point in time.
