WrestleMania 38 is barely a week away from now. With the most significant event of WWE’s calendar right around the corner. reports and speculation regarding the two-night event and changes being made by the company are continuously surfacing.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that we might not be able to see either a Men’s or Women’s traditional Battle Royal on this year’s WrestleMania. It might instead take place on Raw or SmackDown edition before or after the big event in April. Then again, no mention of the annual match isn’t a good sign at all.

There has been no talk of either a men’s or women’s Battle Royal for those on the roster not booked. There are not a lot of women on the roster who are ready to fill a Battle Royal, but there are more than enough men. The last we heard about the Andre the Giant men’s Battle Royal was a few weeks ago, and at the time it was probably going to take place on the 4/1 Smackdown show in Dallas, although there had been a possibility of it being on the 3/28 Raw in Pittsburgh.

This is not the only change we might see on the big two-night event in April. Last month PW Insider confirmed that WWE canceled the long-standing WrestleMania tradition of Axxess fan fest. In replacement of that, the company is focusing on Axxess Superstore.

This is not the first time that WWE held battle royal matches before Mania, but some fans were hopeful that the Andre the Giant Memorial and Women’s Battle Royale match could make a return this year. It appears that WWE doesn’t need those matches to make WrestleMania stupendous.

We could see more changes to the WrestleMania card as we draw nearer to the anticipated event. WrestleMania 38 will be taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3rd. Of course, we will have full coverage here at Ringside News.
