Shelton Benjamin was one of the top performers in the WWE during the Ruthless Aggression Era. Shelton debuted in 2002 and went on to become one of the consistent and dependable superstars on Monday Night RAW.

The former Intercontinental Champion took to Twitter to shut down the rumors that he has been released from the company. He also did not miss the opportunity to take a light-hearted jab at longtime friend Mia Yim.

I have not been released from WWE. I obviously don’t know where this false report started (probably @MiaYim) but for those that cared thank you but at this time your concerns are premature.

Shelton returned to WWE in 2017 after a seven-year absence from the company. He joined SmackDown upon his return to the WWE. He formed a two-man stable with Chad Gable that lasted just a year.

Shelton was drafted to RAW as part of the 2019 draft. He joined The Hurt Business alongside former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Cedric Alexander (with MVP as their mouth piece) in 2020.

Shelton recently revealed WWE official Michael P. Hayes asked him if he could take the super kick from Shawn Michaels mid air during their spectacular singles match on a RAW from 2005.
