Ringside News was told by the creative team that Cody’s status was being kept secret from them at the same time, implying that his deal with the company was done. Earlier today, PWinsider confirmed the contract between Rhodes’ and WWE was signed about 10-14 days ago.

Soon after the news was made public, it was reported that several WWE top talent are very excited for Cody Rhodes’ return to the company.

It appears WWE and fans alike are thrilled for Cody’s comeback; as a result, Cody is trending on Twitter. One fan wrote on the platform, “Well, maybe i was wrong, but it still doesn’t feel real. #CodyRhodes.”
