Joey Janela Confirms He Will Not Re-Sign With AEW

Joey Janela never quite caught on in All Elite Wrestling. The Bad Boy has been mostly relegated to the promotion’s internet show, Dark. Janela did have some moments to shine on Dynamite, but has been booked as a bit player ever since then.

It was reported in January that Joey Janela would not be re-signing with Tony Khan’s company after his initial contract expired. Joey has been very successful on the independent circuit and has had strong run with GCW. It could soon be time for Janela to take the next step in his journey.

Denise Salcedo tweeted that she has confirmed with Joey Janela that he will not be re-signing. The details will be revealed in an interview between the two that will drop later today. Regardless of his future plans, Joey will be finishing up with AEW once his contract expires.

Joey responded to Denise’s tweet by saying he plans to leave the wrestling business and open a petting zoo in South Jersey. That may not be the actual case, but it will be interesting to see what Janela has in store next. We will know soon enough.

Janela has plenty of charisma and is a talented entertainer. If he chooses to take another path, there will be plenty of fans to follow him. The future of Joey Janela will soon be revealed.
