Control Your Narrative was founded by EC3 with the idea that wrestlers who were underused or overlooked in other companies will have a chance to tell their own stories. The controversial promotion has looked to set itself apart by allowing wrestlers to control the way their careers unfold. A recent Instagram post shared a lengthy set of rules that one must follow to control their narrative.

Wrestling fans on Twitter immediately pounced on the list of rules. Many pointed out contradictions and inconsistencies. Others just made fun of it as a failed attempt to be edgy.

“Control your narrative rules somehow stink worse than terminus rules”

“Rules 1&2 of control your narrative are “you are in control” rule 5 is “don’t do the moves we don’t like” doesn’t quite add up that. All far right/incel/antisociety groups always have this “we hate the establishment and rules everyone should be like us and follow our rules” #cyn”

“nothing says control your narrative than a tedious list of rules and regulations”

“Yeah Control Your narrative sounds “Fun””

Time will tell if Control Your Narrative finds long-term success. Many fans have no interest in giving the promotion a chance based on who is involved and what they believe it stands for. EC3 has gone out of his way to explain his side of the story. It appears that he is failing to control his narrative at the moment.
