The Hardy Boyz are All Elite, but they can’t use that name. Jeff Hardy’s debut with the company brought the legendary team back together, but WWE apparently owned their name.

Jeff and Matt Hardy made their AEW Rampage debut this week, but they did so under a different name. Excalibur referred to the Hardy Boyz as “The Hardy Brothers.”

It also just said “Hardys” on the big screen behind them. We’ll have to see what they call them, but there was no mention of “The Hardy Boyz.”

This is a small change, but it is noticeable. Obviously, Tony Khan had no issue obtaining the rights to the Hardy’s music, but their name was something that Vince McMahon’s company had a tight grip of.
