Keith Lee had an amazing run in NXT as he was both the NXT and North American Champion. Fans had high hopes for him on the main roster in WWE but it turned out to be a massive disappointment. It seems AEW was criticized for how they have booked Keith Lee so far as well.

After being given the Bearcat Lee gimmick which failed to get over with fans for good reason, Keith Lee was released by WWE last year. This certainly came as a shock to fans and pro wrestlers alike.

Keith Lee shocked the world as he made his debut on previous episode of AEW Dynamite, where he beat Isiah Kassidy in the first qualifier for the Face of The Revolution Ladder Match.

While speaking on Legion Of RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo criticized AEW for how the company has booked Keith Lee. He especially mentioned Keith Lee having a surprisingly competitive match against JD Drake.

“You and I sat here, and we witnessed creative just failing Keith Lee miserably. So I see him for the first time on AEW, and from what I understand, the company had him in the ring with a jabroni called JD Drake. I have never even heard of this guy. Seriously, it took him about 12 minutes to beat this jabroni, and I’m like, ‘What are you doing! Keith Lee’s second match in AEW, 12 minutes to beat this guy? Did you guys not learn anything from watching WWE?’ I just can’t fathom this.”

Keith Lee had a tremendous showing during the Face Of The Revolution Ladder match at AEW Revolution on March 6th but was not able to win it in the end. We will have to wait and see what the company has in store for the Limitless One.
