WWE is on the road to WrestleMania and reports have indicated that Steve Austin is heading back to the ring. His participation might have been a bit overblown by excited fans hoping for far more than he can deliver at this point.

It is apparent by the booking direction that Steve Austin and Kevin Owens will have something to do with each other in Dallas. Owens’ constant jabs at Texas has not fallen on deaf ears. The big question is what the company has planned. A report came out that WWE “scaled back” plans for Austin, but the reality is that he never agreed to a full-fledged match.

Ringside News was told that, right now “it’s right now just the KO Show but Vince is trying to get [Austin] to do more.” This is currently not looking like an actual return to the ring for the Texas Rattlesnake.

We were additionally told by a tenured member of the creative team that, “it’s a negotiation in terms of creative, money, legacy and Austin’s ability to deliver what the audience would expect of him.”

It wouldn’t be a huge surprise to hear Steve Austin’s glass break at any moment when Kevin Owens is burying Texas. As of this writing, it does not appear that they will have an actual match in the pipeline, but it should make for a very special episode of the KO Show on the grandest stage of them all.
