Cody Rhodes left AEW and many assumed that he was returning to Vince McMahon’s company. It appeared that was the case, but now things are not certain at all.

Ringside News was told at 3:47 PM on Friday that, “Cody, as of an hour ago, still on internal documents for WrestleMania. No other information available.” As with anything in WWE, plans can change.

Not three hours after we ran our exclusive report about Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania status, WWE’s creative team was informed about a change of plans. This change seems to be significant when it comes to Rhodes’ return to the company.

Ringside News was told this morning, to double confirm, that “Cody is off any internal documents.” He is no longer listed as a part of the show.

It is unclear if WWE will come up with an alternative plan for the slot intended for Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. As of this writing, it appears that he is off the show.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
