John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company to the best of his abilities for over a decade. He was the face of the company and Cena worked very hard to maintain his top position as well. It seems JBL knew how successful John Cena would become in the future.

On the other hand, JBL is a veteran in the pro wrestling world, having started his journey during the Attitude Era in the late 90s. Bradshaw had a storied career, winning multiple championships along the way. He also has quite few interesting stories to tell.

Many consider John Cena defeating JBL at WrestleMania 21 for the WWE Championship to be the moment John Cena became the face of the company. While speaking to Lucha Libre Online, JBL talked about working with John Cena and said that he knew Cena had everything to succeed right from the start in WWE.

“I just remember how good he was right away. And that’s deep water. People get in that and they get lost, and he didn’t. And I just remember this young guy is incredibly talented, I mean you could look at his physical attributes. This really good looking guy with this incredible body, but he had everything. And I mean, everything from the start, now I never dreamed that he’d be a 16-time World Champion.

JBL truly helped put John Cena over in a huge way in their title matches and Cena will forever be grateful to JBL for all he has done for him in the end. We will have to wait and see when Cena will make his return to WWE television.
