Danielson was set to take on Daniel Garcia of 2pointO at tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Tony Schiavone caught up with Danielson ahead of his match against upstart Garcia.

Danielson put over Garcia huge and said that the young wrestler reminded him a lot of himself but while Danielson had a great mentor in William Regal, Garcia was lacking in the mentorship aspect.

It’s great to see Regal getting the love and appreciation he has so rightfully earned over the decades he’s been in the business. Danielson is among many who got to share the ring with the British wrestler.

Regal was released from the WWE last month. He was instrumental in bringing Triple H’s version of NXT to life and served as an the general manager of the black and gold brand.
