AEW won’t stop signing new talent, especially those from Vince McMahon’s company. Tony Khan’s organization is set to ink a new deal with another recently released Superstar.

Tony Khan revealed that he has a massive announcement coming. It was later reported that deal could be more than a talent contract. That being said, AEW is adding to their roster even more, because another star is set to sign in addition to tonight’s big debut. Click here for that spoiler.

According to Fightful Select, Shane “Swerve” Strickland is expected to get a contract from AEW. It was reported that things are pretty definite as he is “signing” with the company.

All Elite Wrestling is signing Shane “Swerve” Strickland. Wrestling Observer noted last week, that Swerve was expected to come to AEW, but later noted it wasn’t made clear if Strickland is AEW bound, and said “there’s a very good chance he’s coming in.” Fightful has been told that since January, many within AEW were operating on the assumption that the deal was going forward, and that the deal is in effect starting the first week of March. Those that we spoke to said AEW inquired very early after his release about potentially bringing Swerve in.

It was also reported that Strickland could be a crossover star, because he has appeal that could reach beyond the pro wrestling fan base. WarnerMedia is looking for people they can feature and Swerve could fit that bill in a big way.

We will have to see what’s next for Shane Strickland, but his story is far from over.
