Fenix Expected To Make AEW Return Next Month After Nasty Injury

The Lucha Bros defended their AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Jurassic Express in the main event on the debut episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS. The titles changed hands when all was said and done, but it wasn’t without tragedy. It seems Fenix is likely to return next month as well.

During the tag team match, Luchasaurus dropped Rey Fenix with a Chokeslam through the table. The spot didn’t go as planned as Fenix landed directly on his arm, as it bent in an awkward direction upon landing.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was said that Rey Fenix is expected to make his return to AEW television next month. It was added that he is recovering fast and his arm is out of the sling as well.

Fenix already commented on the injury and stated that no one was to blame for it. Fenix also added that he will come back as better version of himself. It remains to be seen what the company will have planned for Fenix once he returns.
