Marty Jannetty was one of the most popular tag team wrestlers of the 1980s and 90s. Shawn Michaels and Marty formed the Rockers, one of the biggest draws in the division spanning both the AWA and WWE. Marty continued to wrestle for years, occasionally returning for nostalgia runs or as a midcard or enhancement talent.

Jannetty has become a sensation on social media in the past several years. Ringside News has thoroughly documented Party Marty’s exploits. Jannetty leaves nothing to his fans’ imaginations.

Marty has been notably absent from Facebook for quite some time. His most recent post was on January 2, 2022. Before that, Marty had been missing since early December. It seemed very uncharacteristic for Jannetty, and several fans and friends posted to his timeline asking if he was OK.

A reply yesterday on one such post from Jannetty’s friend, Mike Watford, confirmed that Jannetty is suffering from health problems. Marty is said to be recovering in Columbus, Georgia as doctors attempt to diagnose several concerning symptoms. Watford has been tagged at events and acknowledged as a close friend by Marty Jannetty several times on his Facebook page.

Watford said that Jannetty is refusing to go to the hospital at this point. Marty is suffering from swollen feet as well as back and shoulder issues. He noted that Marty is waiting for the doctor to be able to tell him why he’s having so many simultaneous problems.

Marty Jannetty is one of the most fun follows on wrestling social media. Jannetty has always had a positive attitude and seems willing to make fun of himself from time to time. Despite any past criticisms over his behavior, the staff at Ringside News is wishing for a speedy and full recovery for Marty.
