WWE Hall of Famer Lita gave her long time fans a pleasant surprise as she unexpectedly appeared at the women’s Royal Rumble match. Her return became longer affair, as the WWE legend is going to face off against Becky Lynch at the Elimination Chamber PPV in Saudi Arabia.

Lita was in a conversation with Sports Illustrated, where she gave her fans an update on what is in her schedule after she’s done with her Elimination Chamber appearance.

The diva said that she was proposed to do this match against Becky Lynch, though she thinks that there is a strong possibility for future plans. She added that having only one match ahead of her keeps her focused.

Currently, I was just asked to do this match. I know everything can change in WWE at the drop of a hat. There is a lot of opportunity here, and just because there are no current plans doesn’t mean there won’t be. This is also allowing me to focus on the task at hand, which is to put on a killer match and not focus on anything else except Elimination Chamber.

Lita will step into the ring for a mano-a-mano match for the first time since she beat Heath Slater in RAW’s 1000th episode back in 2012. She added that her appearance being scheduled weeks before the Royal Rumble helped her prepare to the fullest.

I really feel good. I have been away from the ring [and traveling with WWE], so I haven’t been beating myself up. I’m sleeping in the same bed and holding a regular training schedule. They gave us quite a bit of heads up for the Rumble this year, so I’ve had time to prepare, and that has shifted into making my workouts more intense. Plus, combine that with a group I’ve linked up with in the Bay Area called Hood Slam—I have an open invitation to their ring and that’s helped so much. That’s really helped put any doubt to rest.

The WWE diva also talked about how she had conversations with AEW officials over a possible angle. She then decided that WWE was a better fit for her altogether. A lot of her fans are excited now that she’s back in the fold, and we hope that she sticks around for a lot longer.
