Steve Austin’s rumored return at WrestleMania 38 has the world buzzing. Stone Cold hasn’t wrestled a match in 19 years. With heavy speculation that he will be coming back to take on Kevin Owens at WrestleMania in Dallas, interest in the event has spiked.

Kevin Owens already kicked the storyline off when he cut an anti-Texas promo on this week’s WWE Raw. Austin will likely show up at some point to rebuff Owens’ rhetoric. The reaction should be nothing less than deafening.

WWE is planning a second major surprise for WrestleMania 38 in addition to Steve Austin. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed who it could be. The list of names as big as Austin is a very exclusive one.

“I don’t know which night he’s going to wrestle, but that is the plan. They pretty much started the feud on Raw. And there’s apparently one more surprise besides Austin still to come. It’s supposed to be Austin level. That’s a pretty small list of people that could be Austin level.

The Rock, I think Dwayne’s got stuff going on, so I don’t think it’s going to be him. So, who else do we have? Hogan, Flair, and Undertaker, right? Is there anybody else still alive that would qualify at that level?

Cena’s got stuff going on. That could always be a swerve, too, but I was told he’s got stuff going on. I don’t see Cena being at the level of an Austin.”

Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestling in Texas for WrestleMania 38 is a huge story on its own. With another gigantic name being brought in for the show, it is clear WWE is going for star power as the draw. Time will tell how the Steve Austin return plays out, but for now, fans seem pretty excited.
