AEW has been at the center of a huge amount of news today. Cody and Brandi Rhodes are leaving the company. In the wake of that bombshell, Tony Khan’s company has announced a major television special.

All Elite Wrestling presented their first-ever Battle of the Belts television special on January 8, 2022. The show was regarded as a success as Britt Baker defended the women’s championship against Riho and Dustin Rhodes battled Sammy Guevara for the interim TNT Championship in Cody’s absense. AEW has now announced the date and location for the follow-up.

Battle of the Belts II will take place at the Curtis Culwell Center in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. The big event will take place in the same market where WWE will run WrestleMania 38 on April 2 and 3. AEW’s special show will go down on April 15, according to the announcement made via Twitter.

Nothing has been announced for the event as of yet. The graphic shared by AEW includes all the usual top stars, plus the recently-signed Keith Lee. Lee is front and center in the promotional artwork. We will have to see how AEW does in the Dallas market so shortly after two nights of WrestleMania.
