Matt Cardona shocked the wrestling world when he added another strap to his shoulder. The 36-year-old beat Trevor Murdoch to win the prestigious NWA Worlds Heavyweight title at NWA PowerrrTrip.

Cardona was met with his first opponent for the title soon after the match. The challenger happened to be none other Nick Aldis. The former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion had a lengthy reign with the title.

The champion and the challenger will collide at the Crockett Cup. The historic event will take place over the course of two days, March 19 and 20, at The Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee.

It seems that Cardona is hell bent on adding title after title to his already stacked resume. He currently holds multiple titles across three different promotion. He’s also a self-proclaimed ECW Television Champion, a title he threw in the garbage.

Will Cardona retain the title against Aldis, or will the man whose name has forever become synonymous with the modern iteration of the NWA once again reclaim the Ten Pounds of Gold?
