AEW Dynamite made its debut in October 2019 and since then has worked hard to provide an alternate product to what fans see in WWE. For the most part, they have succeeded, but there is still lot of room for improvement. It seems RVD has an interesting opinion about AEW.

For many, AEW was seen as a breath of fresh air and also that old school nostalgia as the company tried to balance both the modern and old school aspects of pro wrestling. While AEW still has a long way to go as far as being a solid product is concerned, it certainly shows promise so far.

AEW has certainly seen a lot of growth since 2019 and fans couldn’t be more glad. While speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, RVD shared his thoughts on AEW as a company and their growth. RVD stated that he believes AEW is groundbreaking.

“Pretty cool, they’re groundbreaking. When they first came out, they just stood as good a chance as everybody else in my mind because even though I heard they had a lot of money, this guy owns [the Jacksonville Jaguars], even with all of that, that wasn’t anything new. Happens all the time, every once in a while somebody comes up and they think they’re going to be the next big thing and usually, they have one show, if that, and then they’re done.

AEW started and I thought they were just going to be another one of those companies, and they certainly weren’t. It’s amazing that they draw as many fans as they do and that’s on TV and in person. The crowds are so much bigger than IMPACT Wrestling or a lot of the independents outside of WWE. So they’ve stepped up and they really are the next big thing.”

There is no doubt AEW will keep on striving to better their product so that fans remain happy for as long as possible. With Tony Khan at the helm, the company is going through a lot of changes over the past few months. We will have to see just how the company will change in the coming years.
