Randy Orton’s contributions to WWE cannot be understated as he has been one of the mainstays of the company for almost twenty years now. Orton went on to solidify himself as one of the greatest Superstars in the company’s history. It seems Mike Chioda wants another WWE Title run for The Apex Predator.
Randy Orton competed in the Royal Rumble match last month and it took place in his hometown as well. However, Orton did not compete in the match for long before getting eliminated, which disappointed fans.
Orton is also a multi-time world champion, with his last WWE Title reign being a brief one during his feud with Drew McIntyre. While speaking on Monday Mailbag Podcast with Mike Chioda, Mike Chioda talked about Randy Orton’s performance in the Royal Rumble match.
Mike Chioda stated that he believes The Viper deserves another run with the WWE Championship as he is truly one of the top stars in the company.
“I heard some rumors they were going to push Randy Orton and put him over on the Rumble and somehow that changed, of course, it did change. At what point, I don’t know, but I’d like to see Randy get a push. He deserves it to get back to that WWE title. The guy’s phenomenal, a hell of a worker, and has done tons of his matches. I don’t know why, I’d like to see Randy get that extra push. He’s been with Riddle, trying to build up Riddle but I don’t know, they probably thought Riddle wasn’t ready yet. To put Randy in that spotlight, I would’ve loved that match because you just saw Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. ”
It remains to be seen whether Orton will win a major title in WWE, as split between the Team RK-Bro has been rumored for a while now.
