205 Live continues to soldier on. The little WWE show that could has been showcase for young talent who aren’t ready for the main roster or have nothing to do in NXT. The show still continues to exist despite not really having any true identity.

WWE is trying to freshen things up a bit. A former Atlanta news anchor with a background in sports reporting has joined the commentary team. Sudu Shah made his debut at the 205 Live tapings that took place on January 28.

Shah, whose real name is Sudu Upadhyay, previously worked for Fox 5 in Atlanta. Shah also worked in Memphis for WMC-TV as a sports reporter. Sudu is a graduate of Ole Miss, an affiliation he proudly displays on his Instagram profile. Shah celebrated his first night with a post on the platform.

“Last night was a dream come true! Beyond thrilled to announce that I’ve joined the @wwe as the new play-by-play announcer for 205 Live. See you Fridays at 10 PM ET on @peacocktv!”
