Taz’s son Hook was largely seen as the silent enforcer of Team Taz for the beginning half of his career. Many fans never thought Hook would even compete inside the ring. It seems Disco Inferno criticized Hook’s booking yet again.

Hook certainly impressed many fans with his in-ring debut. His debut also did huge numbers on social media and racked up larger numbers than even Bron Breakker’s did. AEW held off his debut for a good reason as well.

Since then he has competed in more matches and has been dominant in all of them. While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno criticized AEW for booking Hook in the same manner as Taz used to be booked. It came down to their physical stature.

“He is just not Taz, he is a kid cosplaying Taz, and he doesn’t look anything like Taz. It is honestly ridiculous to push a guy in the same manner as his dad when his dad’s body composition is completely different than his son’s. Taz is stocky, he has a short neck and is powerful. Hook looks like Jungle Boy. That’s what these guys should be doing, all these kids need to fight each other over girls.”

It remains to be seen how Hook will continue to be booked in the coming months, as he has yet to face a formidable opponent in AEW.
