AEW Dynamite Results for February 02, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

• Jon Moxley vs. Brian Kendrick
• Malakai Black & Brody King vs. PAC & Penta El Zero Miedo
• Ruby Soho vs. Nyla Rose

JR welcomes us to the show as Jon Moxley makes his entrance. Brain Kendrick has been pulled from the show so we don’t know who Moxley’s opponent will be. Moxley’s opponent is… Wheeler Yuta, accompanied by Orange Cassidy and Danhausen.

Jon Moxley vs. Wheeler Yuta

Yuta tries to start hot with a dropkick but Moxley dodges. Moxley with a headlock and a shoulder block. Yuta gets an armdrag, dropkick and Moxley escapes the ring. Moxley faces off with Orange, Yuta goes for a suicide dive but Moxley catches him, Yuta hits a shotgun dropkick.

Back in the ring, Moxley dodges a springboard dropkick, Moxley with a suplex, stomps to the midsection, cover, 2 count. Moxley with chops in the corner, Moxley hits a Piledriver, cover, 2 count. Moxley locks in an STF, Moxley traps the arms, but Yuta gets to the ropes with his legs. Yuta hits a chop to no affect, Moxley with chops in the corner.

Moxley rakes the back on the top rope. Yuta with a headbutt, dropkick, atomic drop, enziguri and a running forearm splash in the corner. Moxley with headbutts then a bulldog on the apron. Moxley faces off with Orange again, then Danhausen distracts Moxley and Yuta hits a splash from the top rope! Moxley with a high boot, Yuta hits a German, cover, 2 count. Moxley hits a cutter, Yuta hits an Olympic Slam, then a splash from the top rope, cover, 2 count.

Moxley hits a big open palm strike, then gets a sleeper, Yuta escapes but Moxley hits the King Kong lariat, then hammering elbow strikes, Moxley hits the Paradigm Shift, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Jon Moxley!

Bryan Danielson appears in the ring behind Moxley. They stare each other down… Danielson gets a mic and asks if we want to see them fight. “Yes” chants, Danielson says for a long time he wanted to see them fight too. Moxley was different, but since he came back we have seen a new Moxley. Deep inside there has always been a part of him that wanted to test him. He has been watching him and Moxley was the best AEW World Champion. If he had a little support, he would still be AEW World Champion. We shouldn’t fight, we should be fighting together.

Danielson says there is no reason why some Millennial Cowboy should be AEW World Champion. There should be no reason somebody dressed as a dinosaur should be Tag Champion, there is no reason why somebody making a vlog should be TNT Champion. Together we could run this place. Together they could take any title they want. Yuta is coming out here with jokes, what if we took him under out wings. What if we took Garcia away from 2point0. What if we train the future of wrestling together?

“Yes” chants… Moxley doesn’t have to answer right now, just think about it. Just think about the greatness they could create and the legacy Moxley wants to leave. Danielson offers his hand… Moxley ignores it, Danielson says Moxley should think about it, then he leaves.

Brandi Rhodes is in the ring. She says everybody is so nice to her in Cleveland, or Chicago, its all the same… Dan Lambert interrupts, says she should know how bad it it when people believe their own bullshit. Brandi can pretend Cody earned his spot in this company, she can pretend Chief Brand Officer, but its as fake as those bolt on on her chest. She cant pretend she isn’t getting boos out of the ring standing next to an old, conservative, sexist piece of shit like him.

Brandi says she doesn’t understand his beef with her. Lambert is doing good, why is he so mad. “Shut the fuck up” chants… Brandi says things are good for him but not great. “Shut the fuck up” chants continue, Brandi says Lambert’s best fight got knocked out by Jake Paul. “You should spend less time in AEW and more time with American top tits… I mean team.”

Lambert says Cody is a lucky man but their whole family should go heel. Brandi slaps Lambert, Lambert says he knew she was in a funny mood tonight, so he has a better idea for tonight. Paige VanZant comes out… and takes down Brandi, the AEW women’s locker room empties and break up the brawl. VanZant leaves…

Matt Hardy and HFO are backstage. Hardy says he is disappointed in Private Party. Matt says he wants the TNT Title. Andrade says Private Party lose last week, he doesn’t want any mistakes. Matt asks Andrade why Darby hasn’t signed with them yet. Andrade says money talks… Hardy says Isaiah Cassidy will not fail him on Rampage.

The lights cut out and the House of Black make their entrance. Penta El Zero Miedo makes his entrance next, Pac follows him out but he blinded and needs Alex Abrahantes to lead him out.

Malakai Black & Brody King vs. PAC & Penta El Zero Miedo

Pac starts the match with Black. Pac is blind and stands still, Pac ducks a right hand, slides under Blacks legs, and doges Black’s offense. Pac hits a roundhouse kick, then a sliding dropkick. Black escapes the ring. Pac takes off the blindfold, he can see. Penta and Pac hit double Tope Suicidas to the outside.

Back in the ring, Penta tags in and hits a dropkick, cover, 2 count. Penta with kicks to the hamstring. sledge across the back, overhand chop. Pac tags in, back elbow, King comes in and hits Pac from behind.

Pac fights out of the corner, Black blocks a tag to Penta, Pac dodges a sweep and gets the tag to Penta. Penta with slingblade to both Black and King. Penta hits a DDT, a kick to Black. Black with a rollup, 2 count, Penta hits Backstabber, cover, 2 count. Pac makes a blind tag, Black escapes a brainbuster, strikes back and forth, Black with a rising knee strike.

Black hits a running knee strike, cover, 2 count. Black with another running knee strike, cover, another 2 count. Pac hits a German, then the brainbuster, cover, King breaks the pin at 2. Penta and King tee off on each other. Penta with a enziguri then a splash to to the outside. Penta hits a Tope Suicida to King. Penta hits a superkick, Pac hits a superkick, King blocks the Fear Factor, Black hits the Black Mist on Penta, King and Black hits Dante’s Inferno on Penta, cover, 1,2, 3!

WINNER: The House of Black!

Adam Cole is backstage, says he is still undefeated. Orange Cassidy didn’t beat him and his record reflects that. He doesn’t get the respect he deserves. We will see an new side of Adam Cole, on Rampage he will beat Evil Uno and the world will know exactly what he wants.

Nyla Rose makes her entrance, accompanied by Vickie Guerrero. Ruby Soho is out next.

Ruby Soho vs. Nyla Rose

Soho throws her jacket at Rose to start. Soho starts strong with body shots but Rose floors her with a clothesline. Rose with a bodyslam, misses a legdrop, Soho with a running knee. Soho with a back elbow, Rose hits a Samoan Drop, cover, 2 count. Rose locks in a front chancery, then hits a suplex, cover, 2 count. Rose bites at Soho’s fingers, Soho tries to fight out but Rose with shoulder tackles in the corner. Rose with an overhand chop, then a headbutt. Rose hits a scoopslam, then a legdrop, cover, 2 count. Rose hits a Death Valley Driver, cover, 2 count.

Soho and Rose brawl on the apron, Soho picks up Rose on her shoulders and drops her face first on the apron! “Ruby Soho” chants, Rose hits a Spinebuster on the outside! Ruby escapes the Beastbomb and hits the No Future Kick! Soho cover, 1, 2 and Vickie puts Rose’s foot on the rope. Soho goes after Vickie, Rose grabs her from behind, and hits a neckbreaker through the ropes.

Soho with shots on the top rope, Rose blocks a hurricanrana, Soho misses the No Future kick, Rose hits a senton from the top, then the Beastbomb, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Nyla Rose!

Gunn Club attack Jungle Boy backstage. They brawl outside the building, Billy Gunn throws Jungle Boy into the snow as Christian Cage and Luchasaurus chase them off.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring, he introduces AEW World Champion, Hangman Adam Page. Page says he has been champion for 81 days and defended the title twice. He is waiting for more challengers. He doesn’t give a shit about Archer, he neds something, anything but he doesn’t need it next week. He needs it tonight. Lets do this tonight. Dan Lambert comes out with Jake the Snake Roberts. Jake says Page is acting different, is he having nightmares? He is afraid.

Archer runs down and says lets do this right now. Page dives onto Archer, throws Archer into the steel steps. Page throws Lambert in the ring but Archer attacks him from behind. Archer Chokeslams Page onto the steel steps. Archer hits the Blackout through the timekeeper’s table. Archer says he will be the next AEW World Champion.

Chris Jericho is backstage, says last week Santana and Ortiz were disrespectful, for what? We started AEW together. Does Kingston have a hold over them? Nobody has more of a hold over them than him. He is more of an influencer than Kylie Jenner is on Instagram. He wants a team meeting with the whole Inner Circle next week.

MJF makes his entrance for our main event.

Cult of Personality hits and CM Punk makes his entrance. Huge “CM Punk” chants.

CM Punk vs. MJF

MJF hides in the ropes then his a cheap shot, headbutt, stomps in the corner. Punk evades and hits chops and elbow strikes. Punk with kicks to the chest, right hands in the ropes, MJF falls to the outside. Punk with a kidney shot on the outside, chops against the barricade. MJF with a chop to the throat and escapes through the crowd. Punk chases him and attacks him on the stairs.

Punk with stomps on the concrete stairs, Punk drops MJF crotch first on the railing. Punk with right hands down the stairs, throws MJF back into ringside. Back in the ring, Punk hits a bodyslam, then another bodyslam, then another bodyslam, “One more time” chants, Punk hits another bodyslam. Punk chills on the top turnbuckle, goes for an elbow drop but MJF rolls away. Punk charges in for a shoulder tackle but MJF moves and Punk crashes into the ringpost. MJF stomps on Punk’s hand on the timekeeper’s table.

MJF works over the injured arm, Punk with elbow strikes, then hits a crossbody from the top. Punk with right hands, then a swinging neckbreaker. Punk with a high knee in the corner, then a bulldog. Punk with a stomp to MJF, then hits a bodyslam on the apron! Punk offers a fan to chop MJF and the fan chops him! MJF knocks Punk off the top rope and hits a superplex! MJF covers, 2 count. Punk hits a Pepsi Twist, MJF hides behind the ref, and then chokes Punk with his wrist tape.

MJF gets a sleeper with the wrist tape hidden, Punk tires to fight out but is fading fast. MJF gets a body scissor as Punk is fading, The ref holds Punks arm up for three and Punk doesn’t answer! MJF wins!

WINNER: MJF!

As the ref holds up MJF’s arm, he sees the wrist tape! The ref restarts the match!

CM Punk vs. MJF

Punk gets a quick roll up, 2 count. Punk with clotheslines, then right hands in the corner. Punk with an Atomic Drop, then a lariat, MJF kicks Punk out of the ring after a sharpshooter attempt.

Punk escapes a pendulum piledriver, and hits a flying lariat. MJF blocks a GTS with the ropes and drops Punks arm across the ropes. Punk hits a springboard dropkick, sending MJF to the floor. Punk hits a suicide dive. Punk has injured his leg and an injured arm, MJF with a stomp to the arm, then slams Punk’s knee to the mat before locking in a Indian Death Lock. Punk reverses into an STF.

Punk gets a cover, MJF bridges out, Punk goes for the GTS but he collapses on his injured knee. MJF gets a rollup, 2 count. MJF with an Ankle Lock, Punk sends him into the turnbuckle. Strikes back and forth, MJF with a thumb to the eye. Punk with a big right hand, then hits the Poisonrana! Punk covers, 2 count.

Punk tries to take the advantage but is spent and collapses. MJF with a chock block to the knee. MJF ducks under a roundhouse kick and hits another chock block. MJF with a Blue Thunder Bomb, cover, 1, 2, kick out! MJF hits a low blow behind the refs back, rollup, feet on the ropes, Punk kicks out at 2!

MJF tortures Punk’s leg, Punk with a roll up, 2 count. Punk hits a leg lariat, high knee in the corner. MJF bites Punk’s hand, then bites at his head. Punk bites at MJF’s head, then hits the Pepsi Plunge!! Punk can’t make the cover, MJF rolls out of the ring. Back in the ring, MJF with a rollup, 2 count. Punk hits a roundhouse kick then climbs to the top. Punk hits a big elbow drop, cover, 2 count!

MJF falls out of the ring. Wardlow comes out onto the stage… Wardlow stares at MJF, then stares at Punk, he gets in Punk’s face, then Wardlow backs away. Punk throws MJF back in the ring, Wardlow distracts Punk, MJF hits Punk with the diamond ring, MJF covers, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: MJF!

MJF celebrates, Wardlow shakes his head at MJF, but a recap shows Wardlow handed the diamond ring to MJF as he made his entrance. MJF sits cross-legged and laughs as Dynamite goes off the air!
