Jim Ross has never been short on opinions. Good Ole JR has the perfect platforms to share them. It’s always interesting to hear with Ross has to say about what’s going on in the wrestling business. Jim has a wealth of experience in every aspect of the industry.

On the latest Grilling JR podcast, the AEW commentator talked about why television ratings are so important. Ross noted that the 18-49 demographic is what drives ad sales. If Tony Khan wants to recoup the money he’s put into the promotion, he’ll have to reach them.

“That’s why everybody lives and dies on the 18-49 ratings. A lot of people don’t understand why that number is so important to cultivate and monitor. That’s what the networks sell, their ad sales target 18-49-year-old people.

That’s why the 18-49 number is so important for all advertisers. The better we do ratings-wise, we hope at some point in time that Tony recoups and moves forward, and let’s see how that works out.”
