Tonight’s SmackDown is set to feature an appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Lita as well as a face to face appearance between Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown

SmackDown begins live with Michael Cole and Pat McAfee on commentary promoting an upcoming appearance of Lita.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos make their way out to the ring. Jey says that last week they went to war with The New Day, and they beat them, but they respect them as they are the only team that has ever been able to push them hard. Jimmy says that they let everyone know who runs the show and who the best tag team in the world is

Jimmy says that management is already lining challengers up, and Jey says there will be a fatal 4 way tag match to determine the number one contenders. Jimmy and Jey then introduces the participants: Los Lotharios, Cesaro & Mansoor, Jinder Mahal and Shanky and The Viking Raiders. Before the bell, The Usos hit super kicks to the Viking Raiders and leave the ring as a brawl breaks out between the competitors.

*Commercial break*

Los Lotharios vs Cesaro & Mansoor vs Jinder Mahal & Shanky vs The Viking Raiders

The match officially begins live with Humberto and Mansoor in the ring. Humberto goes up top and but Mansoor counters the dive and tags in Cesaro. Shanky and Erik are both tagged in and Shanky hits a lariat and tags in Mahal. Mahal goes for a cover for a two count. Shanky and Ivar are tagged in and Ivar takes out Cesaro and Mansoor with a double lariat. Erik and Ivar hit a double time slam to Shanky in the corner. Ivar goes up top but Mahal saves Shanky by climbing to the top, Cesaro runs up and Cesaro and Mahal go for a superplex, Erik runs in and slams all three from the top rope down to the mat with the tower of doom.

SmackDown returns with Mansoor tagging in Cesaro who hits a corner uppercut to Humberto. Cesaro hits a Samoan drop and lariat. Ivar is tagged in and Cesaro goes for the swing but Mahal breaks it up. Los Lotharios hit a double super kick and follow with a double dive to the outside. Los Lotharios get back in the ring and hit Ivar with a double dropkick. Erik runs in and The Viking Raiders hit the Viking Experience and cover for three.

Winners: The Viking Raiders

Naomi confronts Sonya Deville backstage. Naomi says she has not heard a single reason for why Deville has been holding her back. Deville says that with her jacket on she is Naomi’s boss and not one of her competitors and Naomi storms off in frustration.

SmackDown returns with Sami Zayn saying that the conspiracy against him has gone on for too long. Zayn says that last week a new cast member in the conspiracy against him has emerged in Johnny Knoxville. Zayn says that he has officially entered the Royal Rumble match and that he can do anything Knoxville can do. Zayn says that tonight is the debut of his show “In-Zayn” Zayn gets in a shopping cart as a ramp is set up by the ring and Zayn says he will jump over the ring in the cart.

Zayn sits in the cart and starts to count down and the assistants with him push him down the ramp but Zayn calls for them to stop and Zayn gets out of he cart to the loudest boos of the night. Zayn enters the ring and Rick Boogs stands on the apron to distract Zayn as Shinsuke Nakamura sneaks in the ring and hits Zayn with the Kinshasa. Boogs lifts Zayn up and throws him out of the ring.

Aliyah vs Natalya

The match begins with Natalya attacking Aliyah before the bell rings. Natalya stomps Aliyah in the corner repeatedly. The referee checks on Aliyah to see if she can go through with the match. Aliyah screams at the ref that she can compete. The ref calls for the bell and Aliyah gets a quick roll up for the three count.

Winner: Aliyah

SmackDown returns with Michael Cole in the ring introducing Lita to a huge ovation from the crowd. Lita makes her way out to the ring. Lita says that she is home finally and the crowd chanting her name still gives her chills. Cole asks why Lita is coming back to participate in the Royal Rumble match. Lita says her career has been a wild ride but she has got one run left in her and that she will enter the Royal Rumble, win the match and main event WrestleMania.

Lita is interrupted by SmackDown Women’s Champion Chrlotte Flair making her way out to the ring. Charlotte says that she is entering the Royal Rumble as champion and that when she eliminates Lita, her run will be over. Charlotte asks how Lita will handle the humiliation of Charlotte ending her WrestleMania dreams. Charlotte then says that Trish Stratus begged Charlotte for a match at SummerSlam and Charlotte will do the same thing to Lita that she did to Stratus. Lita slaps Charlotte across the face and hits Charlotte with the twist of fate.

Ricochet vs Sheamus

The match begins with a lock up. Sheamus goes for a slam but Ricochet counters with a take down. Sheamus hits a shoulder tackle. Ricochet hits a back body drop to send Sheamus to the outside. Ricochet hits a dive over the top rope to the outside. Sheamus hits a slingshot to send Ricochet face first into the bottom of the ring apron.

*Commercial break*

The match continues live with Sheamus going for a back suplex that Ricochet escapes and hits a springboard cross body. Ricochet dodges the Brogue kick and hits a moonsault to the back of Sheamus’ head. Sheamus avoids a top rope splash attempt and hits the Irish curse. Ricochet hits a sunset flip power bomb and covers for a two count. Ricochet springs off the ropes but Sheamus counters and hits the Brogue kick and covers for three.

Winner: Sheamus

Kofi Kingston vs Madcap Moss

The match begins with Kingston ducking a lariat. Moss goes to throw Kingston over the top rope but Kingston pulls the ropes to send Moss outside. Kingston hits a dive outside taking out Moss and Happy Corbin.

Back live with Moss stomping Kingston in the corner. Kingston escapes and hits an elbow to the face. Kingston hits a jumping lariat. Kingston hits the boom drop. Kingston counters a lariat and goes for the Sos, Moss counters and hits the punchline and covers for three.

Winner: Madcap Moss

SmackDown returns live with Universal Champion Roman Reigns making his way out to the ring to confront Seth Rollins. Rollins holds out his fist for a Shields style fist bump and Reigns says that’s beneath him now. Rollins says he was the last person on earth that Reigns wanted to see last week. Rollins says he has won every singles championship match against Reigns. Reigns says that now he’s the head of the table and he’s the greatest Universal Champion of all time. Rollins says without Reigns, he was just fine while Rollins was holding him through the Shield days. Rollins says that when he separated from Reigns, Reigns had to rely on the bloodline to lift him back up. Rollins says he created Reigns, and he can destroy him. Reigns says this is a waste of his time and Rollins will never be on the level Reigns is on and that if he wanted to main event against a mega star, he would’ve chosen Rollins’ wife. The Usos run in but Rollins escapes the attack and stare back at Reigns while laughing at the top of the ramp.
