Samoa Joe’s accolades as a pro wrestler speak for themselves as he has done all there is to do as far as being an in-ring competitor is concerned. Joe won the NXT Title and was later placed on the main roster, even if he was told he shouldn’t expect to receive call-up.

Samoa Joe has competed against the best of the best in the pro wrestling world and that includes Brock Lesnar. The two faced off at the WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view in 2017 for the WWE Universal Championship. While the match was a little over six minutes long, fans certainly loved it even if Joe lost the match.

Unfortunately, Samoa Joe was once again released as part of WWE’s latest round of cuts earlier this month. This certainly shocked the pro wrestling world once again.

While speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Ric Flair talked about Samoa Joe getting fired by WWE once again. Flair gave Samoa Joe massive props for being a believable opponent for Brock Lesnar.

“Samoa Joe is a hell of a hand. Somehow I feel that the wrestlers that have the talent, if they want to keep doing it, he will definitely land somewhere. When he grabbed Lesnar when they had that mini-feud, it was believable. When he came out and grabbed Lesnar on the stage, I went, ‘Man, this is believable.’

He is just a hell of a talent. I like Joe a lot. I found Samoa Joe to be great on the microphone. I liked when he was commentating. I don’t think Joe’s gonna have a hard time getting a job anywhere.”

Samoa Joe also previously mentioned that Brock Lesnar doesn’t respect those opponents who can’t match up with his intensity, which is certainly the truth. Samoa Joe is also getting huge interest from pro wrestling promoters. We will have to wait and see whether Samoa Joe will make his way to AEW now that his time with WWE is over.
