Drew McIntyre took beatdown to excuse himself from television, but his injury is a very real one. The Scottish Warrior has a neck injury and he could need surgery.

This was a terrible time for Drew McIntyre to suffer an injury. His hiatus will create a big hole on the red team’s roster, especially since they need star power.

According to PW Insider, Drew McIntyre is currently wearing a neck brace. He has also been to Pittsburgh, home of WWE’s surgeon Dr, Joseph C. Maroon. It is likely that he will need to go under the knife, but the exact extent of his injury has not been confirmed.

WWE star Drew McIntyre, still sporting a neck brace, has been spotted in Pittsburgh several times over the last several days, PWInsider.com has learned.

I was further reported that McIntyre was spotted today at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. This is the location where other WWE talents have gone into surgery. It was not confirmed that a surgery happened today, but “McIntyre was indeed there to undergo tests on his neck.”
