Mickie James is a true veteran of the pro wrestling world as she was one of the mainstays of WWE’s women’s division during the mid to late 2000s. After being fired by WWE back in April last year, Mickie James made her way to NWA and then Impact Wrestling soon after.

Mickie James would go on to become the Knockouts Champion as well. Mickie James is set to compete at the Women’s Royal Rumble match, in a moment that truly shocked fans.

While speaking on Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell talked about WWE’s decision in bringing back Mickie James for the Women’s Royal Rumble match. He stated that it simply doesn’t make any sense.

“I think they wanted Mickie James. And she has not signed to anything with them, right? She is not on contract for a year or anything of that sort. I believe WWE just needs some names in there. But they get rid of these people and then they say, ‘Wow, wish she was still here now, we would have someone to go to.’ Forgetting that if she had stayed, they would have killed her off anyway. This company is just difficult to figure out. A lot of the stuff they do makes absolutely no sense.”
