Big E’s journey to the top of WWE has been one full of hurdles and obstacles at every step of the way. After a solid run in NXT, Big E made his way to the main roster but was eventually lost in the shuffle. It seems Jim Ross has an interesting take on Big E’s recent WWE Championship loss.

At the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, Big E defended his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. In the end, Brock Lesnar defeated Big E to become the new WWE Champion.

While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross talked about Big E losing the WWE Championship at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view. Jim Ross stated that Big E’s WWE Championship loss provides him with a great opportunity to step up and chase after Brock Lesnar.

“Here’s what it does, it creates an opportunity for Big E to step up because he’ll be chasing this inhuman person, Brock Lesnar. So, as far as I’m concerned it’s an opportunity for Big E to do his thing. Hopefully it will, he’s such a nice guy, really a nice guy. He’s a credit to our wrestling business, Big E I’m speaking of.”

Even Bully Ray recently stated that Big E should be chasing the WWE Championship instead of holding it. Big E also wasn’t able to qualify for the WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Big E.
