Deonna Purrazzo used to work in WWE NXT as a Superstar. She was fired from WWE back on April 15th last year due to budget cuts. It did not take her long to find her footing once again as she appeared on Impact Wrestling the next month in May

Since then Purrazzo won the Impact Knockouts Title and has been force to be reckoned with. Purrazzo would eventually lose the title to Mickie James as well.

Purrazzo worked in NXT since 2018 before her release in 2020 and for the most part, she was underutilized. Fans simply never saw her live up to her full potential in WWE.

While speaking on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast, Deonna Purrazzo talked about her time in WWE. She said that she pitched numerous ideas but was labelled as a problem in the company.

“I mean I was definitely labeled as a problem [in WWE]. I was definitely labeled as someone who has a loud mouth but, for a long time I wanted to check every box… I pitched losing and making that a thing until I snap, you know what I mean? I pitched I don’t even need to win the match. Let me just keep the armbar and get disqualified and that can set up a feud with this babyface and I would do extra promos and film stuff at home.

I really can say at the end of the day, I put every bit of me into that place to make it work and it didn’t because when I feel taken advantage of or I feel like I’m not wanted, then I have an opinion about it and I’m going to stand up for myself and I’m going to advocate for myself and I don’t necessarily think at the time that was what they wanted out of talent.”

Deonna Purrazzo is set to square off against Mickie James at Hard To Kill for the Knockout’s Championship. We will have to wait and see who will end up winning the match.
