Vince McMahon Thought Brian Myers & Matt Cardona Were Actual Brothers Copy

Both Brian Myers and Matt Cardona are wrestling at Impact Wrestling and have some pretty top of the roster storylines going for them. There was a time though, when they were of course in WWE, each wrestling under different names.

Myers was then known as Curt Hawkins and Cardona was of course Zack Ryder. They both wrestled extensively together even before they were signed to a WWE developmental deal, they eventually wrestling and honing their craft at FCW. So they obviously knew each other quite well. It was at that time that they were known as Brian and Brett Major.

Well, it was while Myers was a guest on K & S WrestleFest, that he made quite the revelation about Vince McMahon and what he first thought of the two. The two debuted on the main roster as The Edgeheads, their leader of course, Edge. Myers said:

“We wanted to just join Edge and then what I’ve been told that I didn’t realize at the time is that Vince [McMahon] thought we were shoot brothers and then when it all came up that we already joined Edge, he goes, ‘What? They’re not brothers?’

Like that’s f*cking stupid and that’s when he said come up with new names and we came up with Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. So that was never part of our plan. It just kind of fell into our lap.”

Vince McMahon strikes many as the type of person who pretty much stays on top of things, but he quite obviously missed what was going on with that one. Myers is actually quite full of anecdotes from his time in WWE – a lot of them funny, a few of them frustrating for obvious reasons.
