After a lot of anticipation, former WWE NXT Superstar Toni Storm a few months ago on Friday Night Smackdown. Storm decimated Zelina Vega in her debut match. It seems Toni Storm and Charlotte Flair’s angle recently received criticism.

Toni Storm returned last month and since then fans have clamored to see her in the main event title picture. Charlotte Flair previously snubbed her of a title opportunity and she did so once again on a previous episode of Friday Night Smackdown. Flair also threw two pies at Storm’s face.

In a moment of retribution. Toni Storm also threw pies at Charlotte Flair’s face on last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. Flair lost to Storm via DQ on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, which means Storm is now the #1 contender for her title. While speaking on Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell criticized Flair and Storm’s storyline, stating that the two lack chemistry.

“I personally would be thinking twice about that because you have heard me talk about chemistry, a lot. You simply cannot manufacture chemistry. It is either present or it is just not. You need to have at least some chemistry on which you can build on and this match had none of it. I do believe that the pies in the face killed that. Because now they have made it a joke to start off with, how are you exected to take it seriously? Toni Storm is a terrific athlete and all that but they threw the pies at each other.

They literally buried that angle. It is just done. I do not believe you can revive it. I do not care what you do.”

Toni Storm has earned the right to challenge Charlotte Flair for her Smackdown Women’s Championship. The title match is likely to go down at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1st 2022. It remains to be seen how WWE will book the feud in the coming weeks ahead of the pay-per-view.
