WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart is without a doubt one of the best technical pro wrestlers the pro wrestling industry has ever seen. He is also controversial wrestler whose views haven’t always been seen in the best of ways. It seems he also gave huge props to Edge recently.

Despite all his controversy, Bret Hart’s influence on the pro wrestling industry is continued to be felt throughout the pro wrestling world. During the mid-90s he was at the height of his popularity as well.

Recently, Bret Hart was doing a Q&A session on Canada’s Walk of Fame’s Instagram stories. When he was asked about wrestlers he wished he could have wrestled in the past. Among others, the Hitman revealed that he wanted to face off against Edge in a match.

“One match with Edge would have been a beautiful thing to have.”

Naturally, Edge saw what Bret Hart said about him as well. Edge took to Twitter and said that a match with the Hitman would have been something special.

From sitting in the audience of The Dini Petty Show in 92 to this. One of the best professional compliments I could receive. Also that match? Man, it woulda been special.

Edge is currently engaged in a feud with The Miz on Monday Night RAW, but that does not mean he doesn’t have massive respect for those who came before him. Bret Hart’s contributions to the pro wrestling industry can never be understated and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
