Last Monday’s match between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan on Raw delivered on all counts. It was for the Raw Women’s Championship of course, and perhaps apart from the finish, most walked away rather happy after watching it. There sure was a lot of support online.

Also online and on social media was quite the outcry for a rematch between the two, Adam Pearce, Trish Stratus and even Morgan getting in on the discussion. Above all else, it was WWE’s very own Twitter account that started the narrative for a rematch.

WWE Posted a graphic of Morgan (Tweet Below) posing the question: “Does Liv Morgan deserve a rematch?” Adam Pearce seconded that with the words: “What do you think?” That of course got the whole thing moving, yet perhaps it was the legendary Trish Stratus’ comments that made the most impression, she stating:

“Gimme more! @BeckyLynchWWE@YaOnlyLivvOnce…”

Gregory Helms who works in production also got in on the discussion, he letting everyone know that there was a lot of interest backstage for the match as well. he said that the Gorilla position was full of people who wanted to watch that match.

“I’m not naming names, you know who you are, but Gorilla was sold out for Liv-Becky. Seeing that kind of support was just awesome,”

The interest is obviously there, but as of right now, there’s no news on when or if the match will happen, but judging by the hype, it looks good for right now. In the end, the match was a great one and had a lot of crowd participation as well. Liv has worked extremely hard for the opportunity to actually be champion.

Since Lynch’s return, she has done well with the crowd, but came under fire for her method of turning heel, the legendary Bully Ray stating that she was essentially using a “heel 101” approach to delivering her character to the audience. The question needs to be posed: Is it time for Lynch to pass the title on, and is Liv Morgan that person? We’ll see what develops next and keep you posted.
