Pro Wrestling Illustrated, the magazine famous for their annual wrestling rankings, has announced that AEW’s Young Bucks have been named the #1 tag team in this year’s PWI Tag Team 50. The official PWI Twitter account shared the news. The Jacksons came in at #11 on last year’s list.

Over the course of 2021, the Bucks were AEW Tag Team Champions. They made nine title defenses. Their cage match against the Lucha Bros was widely praised. PWI congratulated Matt and Nick Jackson when they made the announcement.

Other teams at or near the top of the list from AEW include the Lucha Bros and FTR. Both teams have traded the AEW and AAA Tag Team titles through the later part of the year. FTR topped the PWI Tag Team 50 in 2020. The top 5 is listed below, courtesy of Kevin McElvaney of PWI on Twitter.
