Tonight’s RAW is set to be a pretty big one with the WWE Champion in action and the return of a Hall of Famer. Yes Big E will be in action against the man whose been a real thorne in his side this past month, Kevin Owens. The last time the two went toe-to-toe Owens tried to cheat to win but Big E still took the victory, will it be the same outcome tonight?

As for the Hall of Famer, the Rated R Superstar, Edge, comes to Monday Night RAW for the first time since the Draft. Edge hasn’t been seen since he defeated Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, so who would you want to see him go up against next? Seth Rollins meanwhile faces Finn Balor in a rematch from last week. Damien Priest will defend the United States Championship against Apollo Crews, and The Dirty Dawgs get a title shot against RK-Bro.

He says he has a secret, some breaking news, and that’s why he’s in such a great mood. Rollins calls for a drumroll, then reveals that it will be him Vs. Big E for the WWE Championship at WWE Day 1. Seth says it’s fitting because this will be the first day of the new era, the first day of the future of the business.

Finn Balor comes out and rushes to the ring. Balor attacks Rollins, who rolls out of the ring. Balor tackles Seth over the barricade into the timekeeper’s area, then tosses him into the apron and over the announce desk. Balor gets Seth back in the ring but Rollins comes flying back out with a suicide dive. Rollins takes his jacket off and Balor catches him with a slingblade. Balor lifts the steel steps and runs them into Seth. Back in the ring and the referee checks on them both before ringing the bell.

Vince McMahon is sitting backstage in his office and in walks Austin Theory. Vince says he hates it when people ask how he’s doing because they don’t mean it. He has IBS, an in-grown toenail, etc., but nobody wants to know that. McMahon says he was very impressed with Austin Theory in his match with Big E last week – we then see a replay of last week’s show. Vince says tonight Theory is going to stay in his office with him and they’re going to watch the whole show together to see if they can see the unexpected. Vince tells him that if he ever steals from him again, he’ll kill him.

Big Time Becks comes to the ring where Sonya Deville and a table are ready for a contract signing. Deville introduces Becky, then her challenger, Liv Morgan, comes out. Becky says this is Liv’s first contract signing, so she’s welcome. Lynch says she intentionally made Liv angry last week because she wanted to see if she has some fire and she was pleased to see she has a Hell of a right. But that was it. She walked off. Well a right hand won’t be enough to keep her down.

So what happens when they meet in the ring? Sonya Deville says this match won’t happen at Day 1, but next week on RAW. Becky teases the fans and says they aren’t ready for a title match because their hockey team never wins anyway. Liv tells her to shut up and signs the contract. Morgan says she got upset last week but she channeled her emotions into her fists, not crying like a mess. Kinda like Becky did on camera, after Survivor Series, after her match with Flair. Liv then plays the footage on the tron.

Liv laughs and says Becky is the reason she has no friends, just like her big fat contract is why her friends are no longer in WWE. Morgan says Becky’s a hypocrite because she bitched about being Flair’s number two but now Lynch wants her to be hers. Morgan threatens to punch her again but Lynch says she was emotional after a big match, something Morgan wouldn’t know anything about. And some people deserved to get paid. Well tonight Liv will get a taste of the big time tonight because Becky pitched a 10-woman tag match for tonight, Team Liv Vs. Team Becky. Morgan accepts.

We see RK-Bro backstage and Riddle is disappointed that Orton isn’t dressed like him. Randy asks why he’d do that and Riddle says they killed it last week when he chanelled the Viper. He RKO’d Dolph Ziggler and then Orton hit the Bro-Derek on Bobby Roode and he figured they were going to do it again this week. Randy says if Riddle thought he was ever going to ride a scooter to the ring he’s more brain-dead than he ever thought.

Randy feels bad and says he appreciates it but they need to be themselves and ruthless. They need to always be ten steps ahead in order to retain their titles. Riddle asks him to clsoe his eyes, then puts a blonde wig on him. Orton looks in the mirror and tells him he has two seconds to take it off, then tells him never to do that again. RK-Bro make their way to the ring, they’ll be defending their belts against The Dirty Dawgs after the break.

Riddle prevents Roode from getting back in the ring as Orton scores the pinfall.

Winners: RK-Bro

Seth Rollins is walking backstage when Kevin Owens approaches him. Owens says this was a big night for Rollins but he has news as well. He tells Seth that if he beats Big E tonight, he gets added to the title match at Day 1. Rollins laughs and says that must be a joke. There’s no way. That’s his match. Owens says when he beats Big E it becomes their match. If he doesn’t believe him he should go ask Pearce, the bald guy.

*Commercial Break*

Adam Pearce is backstage and Seth Rollins walks in and asks what’s going on with Kevin Owens possibly being added to his Day 1 title match with Big E. Pearce says that’s not true, he’s never even seen Kevin Owens today. Rollins laughs and walks out. Deville walks in and Pearce tells her what happened, then she says it’s not a bad idea.

Edge is in the ring and he says this is the best job in the world and he’s so happy to be back. Last time he was seen he was in a war with Seth Rollins inside Hell In A Cell, and now Seth is number one contender. Kudos to him because “that dude is operating on a whole other level.” Edge says he’s excited to be on RAW because there’s a whole list of people for him to get in the ring with, like AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Damian Priest, or Big E. Before Edge can continue, he’s interrupted by the returning Miz and his wife, Maryse!

The Miz says they gave Edge the big return and the press releases. He’s only been gone a month! Is this what Edge’s life has become? Going away and coming back for reactions? Well he’s been here, week-in, week-out, for years. When he’s injured he’s carted around in a wheelchair, and when he’s gone it’s to help elevate what they do. But when he comes back he doesn’t get the pyro or the press releases. And what really pisses him off is that his wife, one of the all-time great female competitors, is back and there’s nothing.

Miz says Edge didn’t mention him in the list of people he wants to face. Edge says he figured Miz was still away painting his face. Maryse says her husband was off being the most charasmatic and talented man on Dancing With The Stars. Edge says he came ninth and Miz says that’s got nothing to do with his talent, and everything to do with the fanbase not being loyal. Edge says Miz could have complained to Adam Pearce about all of this but he didn’t, so he must have an agenda.

Interrupting him puts Miz in the main event and he’s here now, so he’ll roll with it. The Miz says how dare he say he’s doing this for clout. Maybe Edge forgets that the last time they competed on the same card, he was main eventing WrestleMania and Edge was opening the show. Edge was good, once, but he surpassed him long ago. And he should have stayed at home. Edge says Miz is saying he can’t hack it any more and he’s right, his window is small, but he’s making the most of it.

And every guy in the back wants to test themselves against him. That’s respect and he respects them for it. Instead The Miz tangoed down to the ring and bitched for a pat on the back. Edge then says Miz made it to this moment from Tough Enough. He used to come out to the ring with notes and eventually made it to main event of WrestleMania with John Cena. He has people on other wrestling shows saying his name to get a cheap pop.

Edge says Miz is rich and successful, made it further than anyone ever thought he could. But the big difference between them is that Edge fought and clawed to get this small window back, but Miz uses this to get reality shows, movies and guest spots on crappy TV shows. Miz takes his glasses off and Edge tells him to bring it right now. Miz starts taking his jacket off but says no, then tosses the microphone and leaves with Maryse while Edge stares on.

AJ Styles and Omos are interviewed backstage and AJ is wearing sunglasses. They’re asked why the Profits used a fire extinguisher on them and Styles says obviously because they couldn’t beat him and Omos. Styles says he can’t see, Omos had to shave him this morning. And the doctor says he might never see properly again. And it’s because of the Profits. They gave him the smoke, right in his eyes! But when there’s smoke, there’s fire and he promises them they’re going to get burned.

*Commercial Break*

The Street Profits Vs. Alpha Academy

AJ Styles and Omos come out to join commentary and Styles can’t see anything. Ford starts with Otis and eats a right hand to the ribs. Ford leaps over Otis but gets mowed down with a clothesline. Otis tags Gable and they hit a monkey flip and an elbow drop for a two-count. Ford leaps at Gable but gets caught with a northern lights suplex for a near-fall. Otis tags in and Ford chops at him but gets sat on.

Gable and Dawkings tag in and Angelo hits a half-nelson suplex, then catches Otis with a spinning back elbow. An exploder to Gable, then a splash in the corner to Gable. Otis and Gable drag Dawkins outside and slam him into the barricade. Ford dives off the top rope onto both of them, then gets Gable back inside. Styles jumps to the apron and tries to shove Ford off but gets kicked away. Ford hits From The Heavens for the win!

Winners: The Street Profits

Omos isn’t happy with AJ Styles for pretending he couldn’t see. The two of them argue at ringside.

Vince McMahon and Austin Theory are backstage. Vince asks what he thought of what just happened and Theory says he liked it. Vince says he should have seen the twist with Styles coming because it as terrible. He needs to expect the unexpected. Vince then tells him to look at him when he’s speaking and Theory stares at him blankly.

We see Dana Brooke winning the 24/7 Championship last week, her first title win in WWE. She’s backstage talking with Reggie.

Priest looks to dive out of the ring but Azeez drags Crews out of the way. Priest jumps off the steps onto Apollo and gets him back inside.

Priest goes to the top rope but Commander Azeez pulls him down. The referee pieces together what happened and ejects him from ringside. Priest’s “devil” wakes up and he makes lots of weird faces, then rushes Crews, beating him down in the corner before hitting a south-of-Heaven chokeslam. Priest hits The Reckoning for the win.

Winner: Damian Priest

Seth Rollins goes into Pearce and Deville’s office backstage and they inform him that they’ve changed their plans; if Owens wins tonight he gets added to the match at Day 1. Rollins loses it and storms out.

Dominik starts with Shelton and attempts a springboard but gets caught in mid-air. Alexander tags in and twice the referee won’t (correctly) count his pinfalls because of Dom’s shoulders up and Cedric’s feet under the bottom rope. Alexander slams Dominik, then Shelton tags back in. Domnik counters Shelton and tags Rey while Alexander tags back in.

Rey knocks Shelton off the apron, then hits a tilt-a-whirl to Cedric and hangs him on the middle rope. Dominik tags back in and he knocks Shelton onto the midle rope so they an hit stereo 619’s. Dominik goes up top and hits a frog splash to Alexander as Rey jumps off the apron onto Benjamin and the Mysterio’s record the victory!
