Johnny Gargano is going to be a part of this year’s WarGames pay-per-view and that surprised a lot of people. As it turns out some paperwork needed to be signed before he could take on that match.

According to a report fromFightful, Gargano signed a one-week extension on his WWE NXT contract. This was done to get him through the WarGames pay-per-view.

Fightful has learned that Johnny Gargano has agreed to a one-week extension of his original deal, that will carry him through NXT War Games. Instead of December 3,

Johnny Gargano’s WWE NXT contract now ends on December 10th. It is very interesting that this deal was signed, and it is a bit similar to how Adam Cole inked a very short extension so he could work the TakeOver event prior to his WWE exit.

We will have to see where Johnny Gargano ends up next, but he will be around NXT for about a week longer than originally planned. As previously reported, Candice LeRae’s NXT contract is up sometime in 2022.
