Nia Jax was one of many WWE main roster wrestlers to be cut in the most recent round of releases by the company. The gap in creative that was reserved for Jax apparently has been filled. It is believed that Doudrop was the replacement for Nia after she was fired.

Dave Meltzer speculated on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE wanted Nia back from her mental health break by mid-November. It was around that same time that Doudrop took her place. He says it’s the only explanation that makes sense.

“The Doudrop spot was probably the spot they wanted Nia Jax in. Because if you remember they wanted Nia Jax back by mid-November and when she said no that’s when they fired her and that is when the Doudrop thing started being, you know.

You would think that Doudrop kinda doesn’t fit and the heel turn was real fast, so I’m thinking that they booked Nia Jax for that spot, because that makes sense, that’s what they do. When they fired her they went with Doudrop.”

Nia Jax was expected to return from her break, but she asked for an extension. Her return was set fro November 15. She was fired on November 18 in another round of mass WWE wrestler releases.

Nia Jax said she was devastated when she learned the company was letting her go. Many fans and fellow wrestlers believe she was unsafe to work with. Time will tell if she ever even wrestles again.
