Many fans would agree that WWE’s product has fallen a lot when it comes to quality. The current product has a lot of flaws including 50/50 booking, feuds that don’t go anywhere, teams splitting up for no reason and storylines not making sense. The disinterest of the fans is reflected in the dwindling ratings of Monday Night RAW over the past few years.

The company is certainly not known for its long-term storytelling as fans are simply tired of being treated like idiots. Even former WWE Superstars are tired of how WWE writes their storylines.

However, many fans feel Friday Night Smackdown has been a far better show compared to Monday NIght RAW over the past few years. This is especially due to Roman Reigns’ incredible run as the WWE Universal Champion.

While speaking to BT Sport, Paul Heyman talked about how he feels about Friday Night Smackdown being the better show. Heyman stated that it is clear Monday Night RAW has been the B-show lately and that there is no more competition.

”There is no rivalry, SmackDown has beaten the s*** out of Raw. Raw is clearly the B Show. There is no more competition. We won. I have no bitterness towards Raw. If Raw goes sour, it hurts SmackDown. If Raw goes sour, it hurts WWE. It hurts the stock. The stock goes sour, it hurts me personally.

I don’t want Raw to do bad. I wish Raw would do even better and provide stiffer competition to SmackDown. If a star emerges on Raw that Roman Reigns can draw box office with? We have another opponent.”

It is unknown whether Monday Night RAW’s product will ever truly improve consistently to a point that fans will no longer feel the need to complain. From the looks of it, it is unlikely not.
