Matt Cardona and deathmatch legend Nick Gage found themselves in a feud a few months ago. Many fans believed Cardona didn’t have what it takes to face off against Nick Gage. It seems Cardona mentioned GCW’s owner telling fans not to throw sharp objects at wrestlers anymore.

At GCW Homecoming Night 1, Matt Cardona challenged Nick Gage for the GCW World Championship. In a move that no one saw coming, Matt Cardona defeated Nick Gage for the GCW World Championship after an all-out war with the veteran.

The crowd erupted at Cardona’s shocking title win and proceeded to throw a lot of things to the ring as Cardona had a lot of heat on him. Matt Cardona previously revealed that he was genuinely concerned after having a pizza cutter thrown at him.

GCW owner Brett Lauderdale also previously discouraged fans from throwing sharp objects at wrestlers. While speaking on The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast, Matt Cardona talked about Brett Lauderdale telling fans not to throw objects at wrestlers anymore.

Matt Cardona said that he is glad the owner is telling the fans not to throw objects and added that it is simply an unacceptable action and uncalled for.

“No fu**ing s**t, right? I am glad that he is trying to tell the GCW Universe like, ‘relax guys, just enjoy the show.’ You can boo me, you can hate on me, you can put all these nasty tweets out. Do not throw pizza cutters, sharp objects at me, my fiancé, or any other wrestler,” Cardona urged. “It’s uncalled for, we are better than this as a wrestling community.”

Matt Cardona recently got back his Internet Title after beating Effy with Chelsea Green’s help. It remains to be seen what is next in store for Cardona. We also hope fans no longer throw sharp objects at wrestlers during GCW shows.
