Top Dolla was released from his WWE contract this week, and that was a big surprise. The company was making big plans for the faction, but then the rug was literally pulled out from underneath them. Now they are on their own and waiting for their 90-day non-compete clauses to expire.

While appearing on Busted Open Radio, Top Dolla, now AJ Francis once again, revealed that he isn’t going to tell fans not to watch WWE. They can do as they please, but that doesn’t change how crappy this situation was for the former breakout NXT stable.

“It’s unfortunate the way things shape out, but at the end of the day, I’m not telling nobody to not watch WWE again. I’m not tellin’ nobody to never watch WWE again. I’m going to watch WWE — I’m not pretending that I’m not — I watch everything, but also, that’s not the end-all, be-all. That’s not where we have to be successful. We are more than capable of going anywhere in this world and making the same impact.”

Keith Lee also responded to a fan who said that they aren’t watching WWE anymore. The company did Hit Row dirty in a big way, but AJ Francis isn’t going to condemn any fans for watching WWE’s brand of pro wrestling. He will simply apply his gifts elsewhere from this point on.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
