Becky Lynch has a very personal score to settle with Charlotte Flair. The two former friends will meet in a champion vs champion match at Sunday’s Survivor Series. Lynch returned over the summer after a maternity leave cut short one of the best runs by a babyface in WWE in recent memory.

She’s been a heel since her return to the company at SummerSlam, but The Man got to share a huge babyface pop during a special moment with The Rock. The two had a brief moment during SmackDown’s debut on Fox. Becky told the SI Media Podcast what it meant to her to share a ring with The Great One.

“He’s great. He’s so great. You look at him and he’s the biggest movie star in the world and has a million different irons in the fire, but he still keeps his ear to the ground and knows what’s going on and wants to help us. He’ll always offer advice and be kind. He came back and wanted to help elevate me. He doesn’t need to do that, but he does. What an incredible way to be, as a human being. It’s mind-blowing. I have so much respect for him.

…After, you’re just standing there shaking like, ‘holy crap, what just happened!?’ The crowd is electrifying when he comes out. Being able to witness all of that and stand in it and experience it, you go, ‘woo, I want this every time.'”

WWE is celebrating The Rock’s 25th anniversary this year. He recently sent out a heartfelt thank you to the people who supported his wrestling career. Most agree that he’ll be back in some form, someday.

Becky Lynch’s real-life issues with Charlotte Flair will play out in the ring at the Survivor Series. The show airs Sunday night on Peacock in the US and WWE Network abroad. It will be interesting to see how the two approach each other given their legitimate heat as of late.
