In an interesting turn of events in the Flair/Lynch saga, it would seem that Ric Flair is getting in on it, he stating that he isn’t at all happy with Becky Lynch’s recent comments. He likewise isn’t happy with her use of ‘The Man’ moniker either.

It’s certainly getting ugly as we near Survivor Series on Sunday, where Becky Lynch is to square off against his daughter, Charlotte in a Champion vs. Champion match. The quote that seems to have started it all from Ric Flair:

“I Think I’m Going To Have To Make The Trip Personally To See You Beat The Piss Out Of @MsCharlotteWWE! I Don’t Think So Sister, The Man, Big Time Becks, Or Whatever You Call Yourself. There’s Not Enough Choreography In The Business To Save You @BeckyLynchWWE.”

Lynch would respond on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. She said:

“Look, I saw that tweet. The one that you’re referring to. The one that I’m kind of referring to and I looked at it and I wrote out a response that would have been quite biting and I deleted it and I let it go because I think it’s really sad because this is a legend at one point. This legend, a 16-time world champion Ric Flair is now jealous of me.

It’s cool for me. And is now trying to use me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on next because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things. So I kind of was just like, ah let me let him out of it because it’s kind of sad. It’s kind of sad.”

Ric Flair would then respond by attacking her use of ‘The Man’ moniker – something he has had issues with in the past. He also threatened to sue WWE about it at one point. This was apparently settled out of court years ago, and now is being brought up again. Flair Tweeted in response to Lynch’s response, stating:

“So Disappointed! I Did This Out Of Respect For You @BeckyLynchWWE! It Made You Millions & Made Me Nothing. After 40 Years Of Being The Man… The Company Doesn’t Own It, And Neither Do You! I’ll Always Be The Man! Ask Your Husband.”

Now talk about hype! Lynch has been at it back and forth with Charlotte Flair and now this. Even her father is getting into the mix and he isn’t even with the company anymore. He was released earlier this year.

It certainly makes one wonder if it isn’t all a work after all. Certainly would be a genius move. Then again when it comes to wrestling, people have accused Vince McMahon of that before.
