Buddy Murphy was one of the mainstays of 205 Live, where he put on excellent matches on weekly basis. Murphy would eventually move to the main roster where he floundered after a while. He was eventually released back in June. It seems he will be facing a familiar foe.

After his WWE release, Buddy Matthews worked very hard to get into the best shape of his life. He also hinted at going to Impact Wrestling and it is likely he could be going there.

It was recently announced that Malakai Black will be squaring off against Buddy Matthews in a singles match at a WrestleCade event on November 27, 2021, at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem.

The two are certainly no strangers with each other as they tore the house down on numerous occasions during their stint on the WWE main roster back in 2019 and 2020.

Buddy Matthews also made his NJPW debut at Battle In The Valley, where he lost to Kazuchika Okada in a solid match. We will have to wait and see how his match against Malakai Black will turn out to be.
