AEW took the world by storm back in 2019 as it was the first pro wrestling company in a very long time that made waves in the pro wrestling world as a form of competition for WWE. It was certainly a risky endeavor as well because there was always the chance it was going to end up being a huge failure. It seems CM Punk isn’t a fan of everything on AEW television.

AEW has all the momentum in the world right now thanks to the debuts of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole to their roster. This has ensured that the roster is one of the most stacked in all of pro wrestling.

While speaking to the media after AEW Full Gear, CM Punk was asked if anything has surprised him about AEW. Punk admitted that he doesn’t necessarily like everything about AEW television. Despite that, there are things he finds refreshing about the company.

“Man, I don’t know if anything was a big surprise except just maybe how consistent we are. I have opinions just like the fans do. Not everybody’s gonna love me or what I do.

I don’t necessarily have to like everything on the TV show but that’s the whole point. We’re not giving you one thing for two hours or three hours.

“We’re giving you a variety of different things and I think everybody who loves pro wrestling can find something that they love about the show.

“To me, that’s the most, I don’t even think it’s really surprising. It’s just a breath of fresh air.”

CM Punk made a conscious decision to comeback to pro wrestling after 7 years and debut in AEW. It is evident that he is more than happy with his decision and that’s what matters in the end.
