CM Punk’s debut two months ago at AEW Rampage: The First Dance truly changed the pro wrestling world for many fans. Since his debut Punk has been a regular feature on AEW television. It seems CM Punk wanted people to hear about Jon Moxley in a recent promo.

Jon Moxley’s body underwent a lot of wear and tear over the years of him competing in various violent matches. It led to him developing an addiction to Alcohol. Due to this, Moxley was entered into rehab program.

On a previous episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk showed his support for Jon Moxley as he cut a passionate promo and made sure fans all over the world knew about Moxley’s battle.

While speaking to Chris Mueller of Bleacher Report, CM Punk explained why he mentioned Jon Moxley in his promo. Ultimately, it all came down to Punk making sure everyone knows Moxley has a proper support system.

“When the Moxley news broke, first and foremost, we needed to make sure he was in a good spot and that he knew he didn’t have to rush back and he can work on himself and his family. But I didn’t know exactly what to say or how to approach it. I just knew that I would figure it out once I got in front of the people.

You saw signs [in the crowd] already from people supporting Moxley. We came to a point where we had a very powerful message to send: a message of courage on his part and a message of support on our part. And I think the real world needs to see that right now. We’re all real people with real problems.”

Jon Moxley received a lot of support from fans and the entire pro wrestling world. We certainly hope Jon Moxley will be able to conquer his demons and come back a whole new person with a new lease on life.
