Recent WWE signing Bobby Steveson has been anointed with his official WWE identity. The brother of heavily-hyped Olympic wrestler and WWE-signee Gable Steveson made the announcement via Twitter recently. The new name is Damon Kemp.

Along with his brother, Steveson was a standout varsity wrestler for the University of Minnesota. He qualified for the NCAA championships in 2017. Bobby said fans better be prepared for him to beat up some of their favorite superstars.

“The name is DAMON KEMP and I’ am going to smash your favorite Super Star.. coming soon”

After his successful run as a collegiate wrestler, Bobby Steveson signed with WWE in August of 2021. His more well-known brother Gable first appeared for WWE at this year’s Summerslam. His contract signing was announced on September 4. Gable Steveson is only the second Olympic gold medalist the ever be signed by the WWE, along with Kurt Angle.

The Stevesons come to the world of pro wrestling with very impressive pedigrees. Brock Lesnar was also a standout wrestler for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Elite athletes go there to wrestle, and both Stevesons stood out in the highly successful program.

Bobby Steveson is obviously anxious to make his debut. He’s been retweeting reports from various wrestling sites announcing the new name. It’s good to see a young talent with a passion for the business. His excellent amateur background should serve him well in NXT.
