Malakai Black is known for his brutal in-ring style, but he also has a softer side. The former WWE Superstar and current AEW standout also makes fine money for his services. He recently went above and beyond for two fans who helped him find his way.

One fan told a story about running into someone at the Bluegrass Wrestling Con, an event full of legends of pro wrestling and you never know who else might show up. This person was a bit lost and needed directions, and when the fan helped them out they received a very unexpected reward. Spoiler alert: that lost man was Malakai Black.

“[redacted] and I took Kei to this event today expecting to pay $25 a piece to go in and meet some retired wrestlers including Ashland’s very own Bobby Blaze,” this fan wrote on the Bluegrass Wrestling Con Facebook page. We have not included their names for privacy reasons.

“As we were walking up the sidewalk we ran in to this nice gentleman trying to find his way there,” she continued. “We showed him the way and when we arrived at the ticket counter, he told the young man taking the ticket money to give each of us a VIP pass and he’d take care of the expense. I looked down and the VIP pass was $370 EACH! Needless to say we had an amazing time and feel so very blessed to have met this man who allowed us this experience. His name is #malakaiblack. He is in the first picture with me and [redacted]”

This is an unexpected story and just the kind of thing we needed today. Malakai Black had quite a day at the Bluegrass Wrestling Con on November 6th, but so did two fans who received a very generous gift for helping out a lost wrestler.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
